Abstract:

The transition toward Industry 5.0 emphasizes the collaboration between human operators

and intelligent robotic systems to improve productivity, sustainability, and occupational

ergonomics. This paper presents an ongoing research project focused on the development and

integration of a robotic arm for assisted industrial operations within a Digital Twin environment.

The proposed study addresses the complete conceptual and technical framework of the

system, including the 3D design of the robotic arm, the definition of motion components and servo-

motor systems, as well as the programming architecture required for virtual simulation and

operational synchronization. The research also investigates the implementation of voice-command

functionalities intended to support intuitive human-machine interaction and reduce operator

workload in industrial environments.

The main objective of the project is to develop an ergonomic and adaptive robotic solution

capable of assisting operators in manufacturing processes while improving workplace safety,

efficiency, and flexibility. Future stages of the research aim to integrate real-time monitoring,

virtual simulation, and Digital Twin technologies for advanced operator support and process

optimization in smart factories.

The paper contributes to the field of ergonomic mechatronic systems and highlights the

growing importance of human-centered automation in modern industrial production systems.
