Abstract

This study examines the influence of different fuel blends intended for spark ignition (SI) engines on the principal energy characteristics, evaluated across multiple compression ratios. The fuels investigated include two reference gasolines — RON 70 (COR70) and RON 95 (COR95) — as well as ethanol and methanol, in various volumetric proportions. The research was carried out on a GUNT CT151 single-cylinder engine test bench, which allows precise adjustment of the compression ratio and controlled variation of operating parameters. The main energy characteristics were recorded and analyzed for each fuel blend and compression ratio combination, providing detailed insight into the combustion process.
