Abstract


Lightweight materials are increasingly important in the automotive industry, where crash safety and structural efficiency are key. Hybrid aluminum–GFRP structures offer a viable alternative to conventional designs, combining low weight with high strength and energy absorption. This paper analyzes the dynamic response of a hybrid Al–GFRP–Al composite under impact loading using LS-DYNA (ANSYS) finite element analysis and compares the results with traditional steel and aluminum structures. The analysis evaluates stress distribution and deformation in automotive structures during impact. Results show that the hybrid composite can reduce structural weight and improve impact resistance, enhancing safety.
