The paper analyzes the driving style in crowded urban areas like Bucharest. The driving style can be subjectively analyzed due to the accelerations felt inside the motor vehicle. For a good quality of data, the recordings are made on taxi vehicles and personal vehicles. Using a modular data acquisition, it was possible to record accelerations in three directions and information from the Global Positioning System (GPS). The modular data acquisition system has low-cost components that can be configured and programed by any user according to the region making possible further studies.
