Taking into account the augmented traffic accidents numbers in recent years, this paper presents different body centric structures (BCC) with application in automotive engineering. We analyze their response to compressive stress in order to choose the best structure suited for energy absorbtion applications needed in light frontal or side collision between vehicles.
