Proceedings and Indexing

For publication, the authors of the reviewed and accepted papers presented orally at CAR2026 may choose one of the following three possibilities:

1. publication in an MDPI Topic dedicated to CAR2026, meaning that special issues are open for submission immediately after the congress in the following MDPI journals:
  • VEHICLES
  • FUTURE TRANSPORTATION
  • WORLD ELECTRIC VEHICLE JOURNAL (WEVJ)
  • JOURNAL OF MANUFACTURING AND MATERIALS PROCESSING (JMMP)
  • SUSTAINABILITY
  • MACHINES
  • AUTOMATION
  • ENERGY STORAGE AND APPLICATION (ESA)

Authors interested in submitting papers to this MDPI Topic dedicated to CAR2026 should prepare their manuscripts by following the submission guidelines provided on the website of their chosen journal.

Selected papers will benefit from a minimum 20% discount on the Article Processing Charge (APC).

The corresponding APC is fully supported by the authors.

2. in a volume published online with Journal of Physics: Conference Series - IOPscience.

No other payment (beside the usual registration fee) is needed.

3. in a volume published online with Scientific Bulletin (BUP), Automotive Engineering series - National University of Science and Technology POLITEHNICA Bucharest.

PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL MANUSCRIPTS WILL BE THOROUGHLY EVALUATED THROUGH A SINGLE-BLIND PEER-REVIEW PROCESS.


Concerning the indexation:

1. all the MDPI open-access journals from this MDPI Topic have Clarivate - Web of Science impact factors and are also indexed in Scopus (amongst other databases and archives)
2. according to https://publishingsupport.iopscience.iop.org/questions/proceedings-are-abstracted-in/, the resulting proceeding will be sent to be abstracted and indexed in the following worldwide database (amongst others):
3. according to https://www.automotive.upit.ro/abstracting_and_indexing.html, the CAR2026 papers to be published in the Scientific Bulletin (BUP), Automotive Engineering series  will receive a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) from CrossRef and they will be included in Index Copernicus international database.

Key points about CrossRef DOIs:

  • Purpose: They provide a stable, clickable link to digital objects (articles, books, data), ensuring links remain functional over time; thus, it is also possible to track citations
  • Metadata: Each DOI is linked to rich metadata, including authors, funding, and titles
  • Lookup Tool: Anyone can use the Crossref Metadata Search to find DOIs for existing publications
